Building Capacity for Effective Action
In the Ridvan message of 2010, the Universal House of Justice refers to the
inherent "capacity of millions upon millions of oppressed people of the world
to arise and take a decisive part in building the Kingdom of God on earth." The
primary purpose of the tools and instruments developed thus far in the
consecutive Five Year Plan is designed to assist us to build this capacity within
ourselves and the people around us in undertaking such a mighty task.
The program of winter school is designed to provide a space for the friends to
reflect on the process of capacity building and identify the role they should play
in this process. This will be achieved by creating a dynamic and experiential
learning environment for the participants to focus and reflect on the recent
messages of the Universal House of Justice, to internalize the guidance and
identify its application in their lives.
The program designed to provide you with an opportunity to:
(a) Enhance the “breath of your vision and clarity of your thoughts”
(b) Increase your understanding about the growth process
(c) Learn more about the nature and processes of transformation
(d) Augment your learning about the “society‐building power of our Faith”
(e) “Learn the ways and methods of community building”
(f) Advance your learning about how to “foster a vibrant community life in
neighbourhood”
(g) Make a personal plan to make this global enterprise a personal concern
